We are currently looking to reinforce our Benelux finance team in Hamme (Belgium).
Role
- Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Benelux finance department
- Participate in daily accounting related tasks when needed
- Participate in periodic processes: monthly closing, quarterly reporting, annual accounts
- Drive legal reportings: VAT, intrastat, …
- Provide support on treasury related matters: cash management, factoring, bank account management and credit control
- Reporting to the CFO Benelux
Responsibilities
ACCOUNTING
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of monthly/annual closings
- Assist in VAT declarations and intrastat filings
- Maintain finance related master data
CONTROLLING
- Assist in the processing of balance sheet, income statements and other financial statements
- Reporting and analysis on the financial statements
- Contribute to finance related projects
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Preparation of narratives on monthly, quarterly and annual results
TREASURY
- Prepare vendor payments and payment runs
- Assist in the weekly factoring process
- Cash forecasting preparation
- Bank reconciliations
Profile
- Experience as an Accountant or Controller preferably in a production environment
- A bachelor or master in finance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Languages : Dutch is essential, English is important
- SAP experience is a plus (AluK runs on the state of the art SAP4Hana)
- Attention to detail and analytical ability
- Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Eager to learn, wiling to grow and develop
